Posting Links
When posting on social media sites such as LinkedIn and X, there is a balance between visibility and ease of use.
Social media sites downgrade the reach of posts that contain external links because they don’t want people to click away from their sites. But not having links immediately available makes it harder for your potential customers to access the content you want them to access...
So we are trying a strategy for some of our posts – where a link in the main post isn’t essential, we will include them in a comment to the post. We automate all our posts with Publer. If you don’t know what Publer is, check out my article that explains what Publer is and how we use it.
Concentrating on LinkedIn
In an effort to engage with people from our target audience (such as people who work in digital media agencies), we are going to spend more time in LinkedIn. We will continue to use Publer to post to all main social media sites, but the majority of our manual effort will be in LinkedIn.
Nexweave is Shutting Down on 5th June 2024
Statement from the Nexweave Founder
One of our main competitors (Nexweave) emailed their customers on 31st May 2024 to state that they will be ending their service in 1 week (on 5th June 2024):
Hello Nexweavers,
We're extremely grateful for all the love and support we've received over the last four years. Over the last 18 months, we've tried to explore the option of bringing in investors or even strategic buyers for the business while focussing on reducing costs to the bare minimum to keep the platform alive. While we had some positive interest from some of the partners we mentioned in our integrations, nothing has materialized. This stretch has come at a cost that is now unsustainable for us.
With a heavy heart, I'm here to update you that Nexweave will cease operations on 5th June 2024. If you have any active campaigns going on with us, we recommend that you plan to take the necessary action for migrating the same as soon as possible. We'll make the code public for those of you who wish to host it at your end. This might take some time, but we'll share an update when it's done.
In hindsight, we realize that while we managed to build a useful product, we fell short of other aspects needed by the business. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and disappointment our decision might have caused; we assure you that we tried our best to pull it along as long as we could manage.
Once again, we thank you for being a part of our journey and wish we could have served you longer and better.
