OKZest – October 2023 Updates

Agency

A UK based agency got in touch with us for an introductory call. They have used personalisation services from other companies, but were not happy with the results or support they received. They would like to see what we can do. They want to send a high volume of emails and would like a more streamlined way of working.

When developing our first version of OKZest, we built it using Docker. Docker is a great way to create services that are platform independent and can be scaled up (increase the amount of CPU and RAM) or out (add more Docker instances to handle more tasks in parallel). This worked great for relatively low volumes of traffic, but for high volumes, we need to change our technology stack – this is now our top priority. At the same time, we will separate the website from the image functionality, so the performance of one does not affect the other.

Agencies are our ideal customer because it means we can work closely with a small number of customers, who in turn will provide a service to their customers (a much larger customer base).

Blog Posts

We have created a list of key-phrases that we want to get ranked for in search engines, so we are working on creating multiple blog posts for each key phrase.

Referral Program

We haven't had anyone sign up for our referral program yet. We have been trying to market it on social media and in forums like Reddit – but it's hard to do because there is too much 'noise' so it's hard to get noticed.

We will contact owners of small blogs and YouTube channels, inviting them to create content about personalised text on emails, with a link to OKZest.

Social Media

LinkedIn

On LinkedIn, we started the month with 15 followers and are now at 17 – that's an increase of 13.33%.

X

On X, we started the month with 102 followers and are now at 108 – that's an increase of 5.88%.

Using Publer's 'Recycle' function (combined with Spintax format), we have continued to add new posts that get repeated on a weekly/monthly basis, we have also been engaging with people manually.
